Married with 2 sons 1 daughter both sons in the Fire Service, living in Colchester Essex

Joined the RAF Fire Service in 1978 served at RAF St Athans, RAF Wildenrath, RAF Akrotiri, RAF Scampton and the Falklands during the 1982 conflict. Moved to the MOD Fire Service in 1988 served at RAF Wethersfield until 1992, then joined Essex Fire Service, served at Orsett, Hadleigh Chelmsford, then moved to Training Dept for 2 years before transferring to SFRS in October 2005.

Awarded the South Atlantic Medal in 1982 and the Queens Jubilee Medal
