Profile - Zahoor Ahmad

Zahoor Ahmad is currently the Head of Organisational Development at Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, where he has been for just over five years. In that time he has also led the West Midlands regional equalities project. Prior to this he has also served as Head of Fairness and Equality at West Midlands Fire Service, and Deputy Chief Executive at Worcestershire Racial Equality Council.

A life-long advocate for the excluded, Zahoor’s recent focus has been on organisational change and the development of ethics, leadership and culture. He has published material on the history of Worcestershire’s Ethnic Minority Communities, and is particularly interested in the way historical inequalities continue to have an impact in the present day.
